Collombollage

I find art as a way to document my journeys from Jaffna to Colombo.
While I was studying art and design at the University of Jaffna, I used to travel many times from Jaffna to Colombo, which is the capital city of Sri Lanka,to learn about art galleries, visit exhibitions, and meet with artists.
Since I am an avid traveller, I have been doing it curiously. Initially, travelling with friends, I often felt lonely, so I left my friends and started travelling with my camera.
My camera is the one that documents it with me, without making me feel lonely, as it passes through the empty streets, closed shops, parked vehicles along the road, and glowing light posts in the dark.
Travelling is usually at night. In the dark, with the light of the light posts, the high-rise buildings, the sound of the three-wheeler that is passing me along the road, the flashing street signals on an empty road, and the spectacle of many colours and shapes of the advertising boards on both sides of the street
Exhausted by the glimpse of the machines and the noise in the day, we must see a live painting of darkness, light, colour, and sound together in the backdrop of freezing at night. We should feel them.
As a person who feels that way, here are the experiences I have captured with my camera.
