Cassie Machado (b. 1982) is a British–Sri Lankan visual artist based in France and a documentary photographer working with large-format analogue photography and experimental analogue processes. Her work explores themes of time, memory, diasporic identity, cross-cultural encounters, and post-colonial histories, creating a poetic visual language that bridges fact and fiction. Machado has exhibited internationally, including at Dhaka Art Summit, MOCA Taipei, and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Sri Lanka, and was awarded the Foundation Botín prize early in her career.
